This rating is for the incredible service my friends and I received. We came here because we were steak feenin' post snowboarding. And not many places are open on Xmas eve. Let's skip to the part where our server Rebecca introduced herself as our server. She had poise far from a typical ass-kissing server. She basically hung out with us like she was hosting her own home dinner. She took the time to build a rapport in depth from our snowboarding journey as she allowed herself to relate to us in that topic. It's a given, not every server is perfect in delivering all our needs and what they recommend would spice up our taste buds. But homage to Outback for having Rebecca be the perfect example of how to execute real genuine customer service, one of the few out there. Servers like her that take passion in their jobs allow me to remember the glory days(when the economy wasn't so depressing) of going out and having a good time, having dinner with buddies to live life, rather than stay in and cook or take-out(nothing wrong with that, but once in a while, to really be taken care of, as that is how they introduce themselves in the first place): "...I'll be taking care of you tonight." When she took our drink orders, 2 of my friends ordered waters with lemons, my 3rd friend ordered water with no lemon. I asked for water with no ice. She then laughed and asked if I wanted lemon, I told her "I don't know, surprise me" surely enough came back with my glass of water no ice, with 2 lemons, saying "here's your surpirse!" That's where my genuine smile and a laugh was exercising harder than Insanity. Besides, the up-to-par, delicious, melt-in-your-mouth Victoria filet with crusted horseradish sauce with my side of mr. baked potato head, it's the excellent service making 5 stars deemed worthy.

This Outback is 2nd in the nation for poor service and inconsistent food quality. The 1st "worst" Outback is in Maui Hawaii.

If you want a steak and no experiments you should go to Outback. As always Outback has a consistent quality, the interior is nice and the staff is very friendly. One negative remark: The waiter gave us the check before we finished eating up.

Very friendly, attentive service and the usual good ol Outback food. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out barely rare. Outback generally undercooks steaks a little so I sometimes order it medium knowing it will come out medium rare. I asked the server if they could cook it a couple more minutes for me. Next thing I know, the manager brings it out and has me check it and I ended up sending it back for another minute. Everyone was extremely apologetic and then they did not charge for my dinner. I was not expecting that at all. Really, it was not a big deal-better to undercook than over cook. The steak was fabulous once we got it to a cooked state! Our salads were crisp and tasty and potatoes (both a baked and a sweet) were wonderful. The "ritas" (mini margaritas) were not great but I think Utah may not be the place to expect great drinks ;).

Ever since we started our traditional treks out to Brian Head Resort, we've stopping into this Outback for dinner before the drive back to Las Vegas. Conveniently located right off of the Interstate 15, you can see it's trademark teal color and bright red lettering calling your name to sink your teeth into some juicy steaks and the ever so famous, onion blossom! Just like tradition, we defaulted to having our dinner here on our way back home from Brian Head. Our first choice was closing early, so we decided to go for steaks. Don't feel bad Outback, but you weren't our first choice, but stick around a while and you'll find out how happy and satisfies we were leaving this specific Outback Steakhouse! When we arrived, we proceeded to do our check-ins and were greeted very pleasantly with the Outback staff and hostess holding the doors open for us with smiles and gladly directed us to a booth in the back. It may just be me, but folks out in St. George love to stare. Rebecca was our server for the evening of Christmas Eve and she introduced herself with a smile and got to know us a little bit before taking our drink orders. Rebecca took our orders with a smile and jokes here and there to brighten up our experience. She allowed the ladies to order first: 2 Victoria cut filet mignons, 1 with horseradish crust and baked potato and the other with garlic mashed potatoes (pictured). I ordered the full rack of the ribs with baked potato loaded with sour cream, chives, and butter. My friend ordered their Outback Special. Another server came and brought out onion blossom and Rebecca commented saying that "that was her boy" and they seemed to work well together; like a team! We received our food after a kind of a long wait, but it was expected because of the large groups of families, and the business of those having family dinners in Christmas Eve. We didn't complain and this isn't a complaint either :) I enjoyed the flavor of their ribs dipping them unbridled extra BBQ sauce they provided. I got to try the Victoria cut filet and I can't even begin to put words together to say how juicy and tender it was! Perfect! I've had greater steaks, but Outback delivers their own flavor and style that I know I can depend on. Not only was Rebecca very helpful and attentive, she always managed to joke around and keep us entertained. You can definitely tell the fake from the real when it comes to servers! We were enjoying our dinner experience so much that we even stayed to have dessert! Their carrot cake and vanilla ice cream went well together. Now, mind you it isn't something spectacular, but it tasted good! Rebecca certainly reinforced our reasons to come back to this Outback Steakhouse on our future snowboarding trips to come! :)

This was a business lunch that I dread. The chain restaurant is the thing I loath. And this location didn't disappoint my gut feeling. I know I can be a little demanding when I order but I don't think asking for a Cobb salad and French Onion soup would be that difficult. My colleagues ordered a ahi tuna that was decent. Then I received my Cobb. It was iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and a crouton or two. When asked if this was the Cobb the waitress replied "Yes" with confidence. I asked to look at a menu and it showed the usual toppings of a Cobb; egg, bacon, cheese, etc. they corrected it but it must have flustered the waitress because she forgot to order the soup. When she was reminded I later got a FO soup with barely cooked provolone cheese. It was still stiff from the refrigerator. I again asked for it to be cooked a little longer. My colleague then ordered one as well. She took it back and brought out the same one and gave it to my co worker. And then took another 20 min to get mine. All in all, par for the course with chains.

This was probably my second time ever eating at an Outback's and I thought it was really good for a chain restaurant. My steak was cooked perfectly, the dark bread was delicious and my broccoli was crisp rather than the mushy stuff you normally get in a restaurant. I do think it's odd that the servers pull a chair up to your table to chat and take your order. Not only did ours do this, but I saw others too which struck me as wierd.

Jordan was awesome made our anniversary dinner out fantastic! Also try the spinach artichoke flat bread, it's way yummy!!

Went here on Father's Day. I had the Rib Eye which wasn't on the menu, but they offered it. It was cut very thin and rather flavorless. I was very disappointed at the quality of the steak. The side salad was a C+ and the potato was just your average baked potato. I wouldn't recommend Outback to anyone as there are several much better places to eat. Outback was a huge disappointment. The waitress was understandably busy so service was rushed.

Jordan was an awesome waiter! Gave us a free desert for our anniversary.

My wife says the menu has new additions. I've been here twice in the last 20 days. Bread is consistently good. Salads are consistently fresh. Cheese fries were awesome. My wife loved here meal (some meal with sliced filet mignon - in spite of some unexpected fattiness). My filet was good also. This location's consistency was down a few years ago. Seems to be back up.

I am so sad to write a bad review. This outback is known for slow service and lazily prepare. I don't feel to bad giving this review because that bad service doesn't seem to bother anyone. The wait there is usually 50 minutes or more. The last two visits convinced me never to go back. There was a hair in my steak. As in it was cook onto the outside of it and as I peeled it of it weaved all around to the back. ARGH! The manager gave us our meal for free and was very apologetic. The next visit our waiter forgot about our table and the table across from us. We started laughing about it together when it got frustrating. When I finally got my cold food there were 3 large cloves of garlic in my mashed potatoes. I am done with this outback.

Excellent quality of food! We made a reservation, when we arrived, their system had gone down and we had to wait an additional 35minutes, the staff was very apologetic and communicated very well! The food came out timely and very tasty! So very happy with our experience!

Horrible service. Drinks took forever. Server forgot condiments. Didn't know the menu. Didn't know the drinks. Potatoes didn't come till we were halfway done with our food. And they weren't the garlic mash that we had originally ordered. Food was good. But that was it.

The worth service at the bar. You have to buy food to get a drink water and soda don't count.

Ya know... I really want to like this place. I find it hard each and every time I eat here however, to want to return. I was somewhat indecisive when it comes to choosing my meal. That aside, it took well over an hour to get my food after we ordered. Between my wife and I, we had a salad and a steak. Not to difficult. I don't feel like there were any problems with the waitress, she was fine. The restaurant was clean and had a warm, inviting feeling. After you pay your expensive bill, and you've spent well over 2 hours, you need to say... was all that worth it? To me and mine, we will head elsewhere next time we go out to eat.

Restaurant was crowded so we ate at the bar. While the staff were nice the food was not. Ordered Chicken Parmesan and it came out overcooked and tough. When I mentioned it to the waitress she never offered to replace it. Don't think I will return

Yeah, Outback is just not the same anymore. It is down right one of the worst steakhouses I've been to and this is coming from someone that has historically LOVED Outback. They have changed their menu, bloomin onion/its sauce and it's just not the steakhouse that it used to be. I will be spending my money at better places such as Texas Roadhouse, Ruby River...heck I would get a steak at Chili's before I go back to Outback and pay for overpriced blah food again. I doubt we'll see Outback in business for long. My family won't be back. Updated my review. They do offer more than two steaks, supposedly 7 according to a person that sent me a message, just make sure you get the "create your own steak" page of the menu if you want to eat here. I still wouldn't recommend it though.

Just finished eating at this Outback in St George Utah. Since the beers have no prices listed on the menu I asked the waitress for them. No clue, nor did the other waitress. 10 minutes later she came with a list that looked like word document. Ordered a medium rare sirloin with mashed potatoes and a Cesar salad with the meal. The Cesar came 5 minutes later on its own. I told the server I asked for the salad with the meal. She said it usually comes out before the main entree. I said I requested it with the steak and had her take it back. The sirloin came out and it was raw. She took the steak back and left the potatoes. I asked her to take back the potatoes as well since I wasn't going to eat them on their own. The manager brought out the second steak and it was fine, well still kind of rare but I just wanted to eat. Was going to get a glass of wine but nobody came and asked me if I wanted anything else to drink. Don't get me wrong, the waitress was very nice and the Mgr was gracious but how do you not know what you charge for a beer, think that taking the steak back and leaving the side to get cold is ok? Haven't been to an Outback for a long time, don't think I will go to one again. Was at a Lonestar Steakhouse in Lakewood CO last night. Awesome service, great food and inexpensive beer that had the price on the menu! What a novel concept!!!!

The staff is great. Sadly the kitchen has declined so much that it's nearly impossible to get a good steak. In fact, my last half dozen have been horrible.

I choose this place over all the other local fast food places because I didn't feel like eating a frozen burger. To my surprise the burger i ordered was terrible, totally dry and tasteless. Save your money and time and go elsewhere.

Okay, I have to put this out there. My wife and I have been getting curb side take away from this outback for quite a few years. Not too long ago while eating at home I noticed a very long hair along with my prime rib. This definitely can spoil your dining experience. We quit going for a while. But we decided to go and give it another try. Things were fine for a few months. Eating take out maybe once a month or so. Tonight I had a dead cock roach in my salad. Not going back. Keep in mind, the curb side people are nice and quick and untainted food is usually delicious. I just question this locations cleanliness. I'd go into other locations for sure.

The food is good but the service needs work. We were sitting 10 minutes before our server greeted us, and another 10 minutes before I got my cup of water. Took another 20+ minutes after that to get our food.

I haven't eaten at outback in a really long time and it was in Calif and it was years ago and it was good but last night was terrible! Really slow service and the ribeye was fatty really fatty! I would not recommend it I'm sorry!

Super slow, walked in sat at the bar, it takes 10 minutes for bartender to ask what I want, another 5 to make a drink. Order a Jameson and 7up. There is no liqour in drink, the entire restaurant has 10 people in it.Asked for manager, after waiting 10 minutes, nobody showed, payed my tab and left. Don't waste your time or money.

We were eager to try this place, but won't come back! All the food items were a la carte which upped the expense. The service was nonexistent. We got seated at 6:30 p.m. and were out the door at 8:40 p.m. Our waitress would be gone for unreasonable amts of time. I ordered a glass of wine and was told I had to show ID. I am 67 years old - " I don't drive. Is my AARP card OK", I asked. With this introduction, our party of 4 should have just left.

Went on a weekend and knew from experience that we would have a wait to be seated. We were told 45 minutes. It was over an hour, which was not a big deal. Once we had ordered it took over an hour for the food to come. All in all we were there for over 2 hours. Definitely not worth that kind of wait.

Brought the family in, could not locate the bar visually, had to ask the hostess where it was. When she pointed, I didn't see a bar, had to have her walk me to it. No visible bar. Weird, but I am not a drinker. Had to ask about beer, had to listen to the bar maid explain them as there was no visible products at all. Ordered appetizer while waiting for food, there was a panic when I went to leave the secret bar area, insisting on payment for drinks and tiny food (which hadn't even arrived yet). Quite clumsy, but I pressed on so as not to ruin my mood over this nonsense. Things went fine until the food arrived. Sirloin was ok, not great. I asked for worcestershire sauce, the waitress turned to a huge table of people and began to take their order. I sat and patiently waited for my sauce to arrive. It took 8-10 minutes. Disappointing. Full order of ribs were minuscule, but tasty. Potato was good. Salad was delicious, the ranch had a kick to it which i was not expecting, but happy to discover. *I am not a salad buff, so take this comment with a grain of salt. Salmon was good, but pricy. Over all, very very disappointed. I would avoid this place as there are better places nearby, if you are in the mood for a steak, check my other reviews.

I have tried this outback a few times. Service is really slow. Had to wait forever for water, then for our waitress to take our order. Good thing we ordered wings to tide us over because the meal took 45 min. to get. There were only three of us. They were out of pork chops and ribs. So I tried a sirloin. It was so full of gristle only tasted one bite.i couldn't even cut the steak. My son's steak was fine and he was happy. My husband had salmon it was good too. Service on top of gristly steak. I'm not going back. There are way too many other places for me to try.

This review is for the meal we had on 7/10/2013 that was absolutely abysmal at Outback - St. George Order #28513757. I had just come out of the hospital for Cancer Surgery and my Wife and I were both starving on the way home. I didn't really want her to start cooking (she had been by my side all day and was probably just as tired as I was) so we decided to splurge and order Outback to go. My 18 oz. Porterhouse was overcooked to the point of being dry and tough to chew. Her "Ribs & Chicken on the Barbie" was terrible; it was clear the chicken had been sitting in water or broth and then heated up before being put in the container. The ribs were tiny and had NO meat on them. The Aussie Fries and Bushman Mushrooms were WET! The meal was still not ready when went to pick it up, so it's not like it was sitting around waiting for us, and we live less than 1 mile from this Outback. Overall this was a surprisingly BAD and very disappointing experience, not to mention a waste of $66.75 especially when you consider this was the first thing I'd had to eat in almost 48 hours. We've been to this Outback once or twice a month for the last 6 months and frankly the meals are inconsistent and the quality control is questionable. Based on this last experience I wouldn't go back.

This is one of my favorite places to go if I am in the mood for a juicy steak. This was the first time I've been since their decor has changed, and I'm not a huge fan. But I'm not going there for the decor so whatever. Usually we will get a very kind and gracious server, but when we went this past Friday our waitress was a little cold. She must have just been having a bad day. My husband and I will usually order the cheese fries as an appetizer. He likes the ribs and I will almost always get a steak and mashed potatoes. I am in love with their specialty drinks, particularly the Strawberry Bull. I have had their brownie a la mode, which is wonderful, but we usually don't have enough room in our stomachs to order it .

We ate here for our date night last week.....and we won't be rushing back anytime soon. We ordered wings as an appetizer.....they just didn't have a good flavor, but that's subjective. What wasn't was the foccacia sandwich I'd ordered. It's like a French Dip, complete with Au Jus. Arby's does a MUCH better job! The picture looked great, and while I know pictures are never as they really appear, what did show up was a complete joke. I opened up a sandwich half and there lay a tiny ball of hard meat that didn't even cover half the sandwich! The waitress saw me and couldn't believe it either. She took the food back to the kitchen for them to put on more. Instead, the manager came out and said that they are only allowed to serve 5 ounce portion sizes for that meal and they have to split the meat lumps between the two halves. She gave me the meal for free. Outback....you'd think you could have freshly carved meat, right? No, these are meat shavings, frozen, that they drop into a fryer before tossing onto a piece of bread. It's been a long time since we've been to an Outback, and it's going to be a lot longer before we go back. My husband's baked potato arrived salted! Who salts a baked potato?!? You can always tell a cheap cook uses salt while a chef uses herbs and spices. Outback salted everything. The service was okay, a bit slow, but not horrendous for a Friday evening. The staff were courteous, always a plus.

We lived in the St George area for several years, & always enjoyed Outback for lunch. We loved the entree salads. Today was our first visit, since the remodel. Based on our experience it will be our last. I had the chicken cobb salad. The chicken was dry. & the salad fixings were sparse. The bread was cold. & dry. My husband had the Wed special. It was ok. Sauce on pork was too much. Cheesecake not so special. The meal was. $30 with tip. No value here. I was still hungry. Extremely disappointing.

My wife and I celebrated our Anniversary with a late lunch today. After moving to a quieter booth to get away from screeching voices, emanating from the sound system above our table, we started to order our meals. When taking our order, Eric our waiter asked to see my ID since I ordered an O'Doulls non-alcoholic beer. Somewhat flattered and amused, I asked him why. He stated it was Company policy. When the hilarity died down, I became indignant that such a "company rule" existed for someone of my age who hadn't had to show ID since 1950. Eric was just following company policy, so I spoke to the manager who gave me the impression that offending a customer and losing future business was secondary to following a rule made necessary by the restaurant's failure to train employees to use common sense and restaurant courtesy in enforcing the law regarding sale of liquor to minors. Since it was an Anniversary Luncheon after all, we proceeded to order our meal. The food was fine and Eric, through his cheerful and professional attitude and service saved the day and made our meal a memorable experience.

I guess you can call me an early bird. Because sometimes I forget to eat lunch and have a 4 pm dinner. Outback, I'm a little disappointed. It was not busy by any means. There were 3 boths occupied and that was it. The staff was alright... But my server seemed to always forget something I ordered. The food was worse though. I felt like I waited longer than anything and it came out cold! The mac and cheese was like soup! I wasn't too happy about it. But I am not one to really complain to the people directly because I don't like to hurt feelings. Not my favorite and I don't think I will go back to this one again. Sorry :(

The Layton OutBack is a one of the better locations for the chain. Love their OutBack special with broccoli and velvetta cheese on the side. Great low carb meal. The spices on the steak is one of the best.

Went here last night and the experience was horrible to say the least. We ordered the cheese fries with bacon for appetizers. They came out and they looked like they had taken some McDonald fries, maybe the same amount as a medium order, and put some cheese on it with a few bacon bits. Very skimpy and definitely not worth the $6. I ordered a ribeye steak. Now I have always said that the one cut of meat that you can't screw up is the ribeye. They did it!!! I ordered it medium and they brought it out very well done. The consistency was just shy of jerky. My daughters potato had a big old hair in it. I would have said something to our waitress but she was not to be found. We would have re ordered had the original order not taken so long to come out. The manager did end up coming over to let me know that I could have ordered another one so if it happens again to just order another one. She did comp us a desert but not the $20 steak. It was my first time to eat at the Outback and off this experience it is my last.

I still wouldn't recommend it though.

We had Kathryn as our server and her service was fantastic. Was very attentive and interacted great with our two kids. Food of course was very good. Find more like her.

Outback was my favorite until Texas Roadhouse came along. But Outback is great still. Great steaks and sides, especially the bloomin onion!!!

Sorry :(
